Italian AIM Communication Wins 3 Conventa Awards
PRWA’s Italian member AIM Communication and their multi-channel project, Out of the Blue, were honoured with three prestigious awards at the Conventa Best Event Awards, an international competition recognizing impactful events and communication initiatives. The awards received are:
🏆 First Prize – Building Community Award
🥉 Third Prize – CSR Event
🥉 Third Prize – Audience Award
The winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process: 80% of the votes came from an expert jury of 23 industry professionals, while the remaining 20% came from the audience at the Conventa Crossover event, held in Ljubljana from September 9-10.
The Out of the Blue project, carried out by AIM Communication on behalf of the LICE Foundation and the Italian League Against Epilepsy (LICE), aimed to reshape the perception of epilepsy through a groundbreaking short film. Launched on International Epilepsy Day 2023, the initiative strives to empower patients, debunk common myths, and build strategic partnerships. AIM Communication also played a key role in securing sponsorships for the project.
The heart of the campaign was the short film Out of the Blue (“Fuori dall’Acqua”), which shared the personal stories of individuals living with epilepsy. Its trailer debuted at the LICE National Congress, and the official launch followed at the renowned Giffoni Film Festival 2023. The film was also presented out of competition at the Venice International Film Festival 2023, where it sparked a lively panel discussion involving both journalists and the public.
Thanks to a collaboration with ANEC (National Association of Cinema Exhibitors), screenings of the short film were organized in cities across Italy, reaching over 1,200 students from around 20 high schools and inspiring thoughtful, engaging discussions.
The project garnered extensive media coverage, with 480+ articles published and reaching over 96 million people through various channels, including national television, radio, and newspapers.
